Mechline Aquajet Deck Mounted Spout Adapter - **Adapter only** for use with Aquajet Taps Only
To
retrofit to a Mechline Aqujet tap although not difficult
for a skilled person, takes skill to make it a good
job.
Follow
the steps below:-
- Using
a heat gun, direct
heat evenly around the faucet (pre-rinse body) where the riser tube
joins the
faucet. This releases the jointing compound which allows you to
un-screw the
riser tube without damage.
- Assemble
the small riser
tube (100mm) to the bottom of the bowl filler using a thread sealing
compound.
We use Lockseal 58-11 PTFE sealent.
- Join
the small riser tube
sub assembly to the main faucet, again using jointing compound. It is
important
not to over tighten the joint. Make sure the bowl filler is aligned to
the
faucet.
- Using
jointing compound,
join the main riser tube to the top of the bowl filler.
- Leave
the sealant to dry
for at least 1 hour, then test for leaks.
Please
note, be careful not to use too much compound otherwise there is a
possibility
the excess will block the pre-rinse.
